Eric Clapton’s ‘Sunshine of Your Love’ is a famous track that every guitarist should know how to play. It’s an excellent example of how to use many of the things you will have learnt by this stage of Electric Guitar Coach like slides, bends and vibrato to create memorable guitar riffs.

In this arrangement the guitar part is based on three similar riffs which you’ll be able to look at in detail.

As well as many ‘tools of the trade’ these riffs use barre technique and fret hand staccato, and are based on some of the scales you will have covered in earlier levels of Electric Guitar Coach. The guitar has a big distortion sound and also uses reverb.
